The Week 10 NFL slate comes to a close on "Monday Night Football" when the slumping Buffalo Bills play host to the resurgent Denver Broncos.
You'd never think the Broncos would be the much hotter team coming into this matchup, but that's exactly the case on "Monday Night Football." After starting the season 1-4 while giving up a league-worst 36.2 points per game, the Broncos have won two of their last three games with a 15.0 points allowed average.
Denver's defense is finally healthy after an unlucky start to the year, and it's coming off an impressive performance in which it held Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs out of the end zone in a 24-9 win. Russell Wilson is also starting to find his groove with four touchdowns and no interceptions over his last two starts.
The Bills, on the other hand, haven't looked like the Super Bowl contenders they expected to be. Buffalo has lost three of its last five games and nearly lost to the Tyrod Taylor-led New York Giants as double-digit favorites in that span. Josh Allen has thrown an interception in five straight games, and the defense is struggling to make stops because of injuries and its inability to generate pressure on a consistent basis.
These two teams are closer than you might think right now.
The Bills don't deserve to be seven-point favorites right now. Buffalo hasn't won by more than six points since Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins, and it can't be expected to win by that margin against a Broncos team that's peaking under Sean Payton.
The Bills will be without linebacker Matt Milano, defensive tackle DaQuan Jones, safety Micah Hyde, and cornerbacks Tre'Davious White, Kaiir Elam and Christian Benford on Monday night. Denver will be able to exploit those absences in the passing game.
With the way these two teams are playing right now, this one should come down to the wire.
Ever since Dawson Knox went down with a wrist injury a few weeks ago, Kincaid has taken over as the No. 2 passing option in this option behind Stefon Diggs. The rookie tight end has racked up 26 targets and 23 catches over the last three games, and he should be a focal point of Buffalo's passing game again this week.
