Even though he only has one NHL season under his belt, Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard has been a household name in the hockey world for years. The North Vancouver native received the "generational talent" billing during his junior hockey days and was the consensus No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. Now, he's made it to the small screen — kinda — as he was name-dropped in the Season 3 trailer for "Shoresy," a hockey-centric spinoff of the popular Canadian comedy show "Letterkenny."
Shoresy, the show's main character played by Jared Keeso, is a maestro of on-ice trash-talking. In the Season 3 trailer, which was released Tuesday, Shoresy skates past an opponent wearing Bedard's No. 98 and promptly chirps him for it.

While Bedard isn't mentioned again, the rest of the trailer is chock-full of Shoresy berating his opponent with an emphasis on his jersey number. It's only fitting the digits come with high expectations as Bedard is the Calder Trophy frontrunner after winning three NHL Rookie of the Month awards during his first pro season.
If you're a hockey fan and haven't seen "Shoresy" or "Letterkenny," you're missing out on some top-tier profanity-laced humor. The shows' episodes typically carry 20-minute runtimes, so they're easy to breeze through.
Season 3 of "Shoresy" will stream on Crave (Canada) on May 24, 2024 and Hulu (United States) on June 21, 2024.
